Welcome to Düsseldorf – the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. Situated to the left and right of the Rhine, Germany's longest river, this endearing metropolis has a lot to offer its visitors. The most popular points are certainly the old town with the almost legendary variety of around 250 pubs, bars and restaurants as well as the well-known shopping boulevard Königsallee. But a detour off the beaten track is also worthwhile.
Sunday Hotel Düsseldorf City Nord (formerly “Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf City Nord”)
This stylish 4-star hotel is located just a few kilometres north of the city centre and thus only 5 km from Düsseldorf's old town. It is 6 km to the main train station and 8 km to the airport. Our house is only a few hundred meters from the exits of the A3, A44 and A52. The Sunday Hotel Düsseldorf City Nord offers a 24-hour reception and a sun terrace to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel has 190 elegant rooms (18 m2). All rooms are air-conditioned and have Wi-Fi. The standard rooms have a queen-size bed, TV, telephone and comfortable seating.

What is insured?
You cannot or not as scheduled commence your journey because of the following event.
- Death, severe accidental injury
- Unexpected severe illness, Intolerance to a vaccine, pregnancy
- Damage to your property as a result of fire, elementary, event or intent criminal of a third party
What will be replaced?
- In case of non-commencement of the journey, we replace you among other things the contractually owed travel cancellation costs
- In case of interruption of journey, we replace the provable incurrend additional return travel costs as well as proportionally unused travel services.
Deductible: For insurance premiums without a deductible, 100% reimbursement for all insured events. For insurance premiums with a partial deductible: For illness treated on an outpatient basis, the deductible is 20% of the reimbursable claim, but at least EUR 25 per insured person. No deductible i all other cases.

In cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, we offer a pick-up and drop-off service. Travel in comfort and relaxation with Deutsche Bahn to and from any train station throughout Germany.
By Train to the Ship (Rail & Cruise)
When booking a plantours river cruise, you can easily add travel arrangements with Deutsche Bahn from your local train station to our German departure ports.

Notes: Tickets can only be booked in conjunction with a planTour cruise. Valid for travel on all Deutsche Bahn AG trains within Germany, including ICE and EC/IC trains, between your home station and the station at your port of departure and back. The ticket is valid for 1 day for trips up to 100 km and for 2 days for trips over 100 km, starting on the validity date printed on the ticket, and expires at 3:00 a.m. on the day following the last day of validity. For trips up to 100 km, the journey must begin on the date specified on the ticket. Regardless of the train selected when redeeming the voucher, you are not restricted to a specific train on the selected travel date. Prices are subject to change. In Passau and Cologne, we recommend the convenient valet parking service offered by our partner, Globus. The transfer from the parking lot to the ship and back is included, so you can start your trip completely relaxed.
Our local partner will take care of everything for you. When you book a parking space, the transfer from the parking lot to the ship on the day of arrival and from the ship to the parking lot on the day of departure is already included. Furnished cabins were extensively redesigned and renovated in 2016/2017 and equipped with French balconies on the upper deck.
Internet on board
On board MS Elegant Lady, internet reception in the form of Wi-Fi can be booked for a fee at the reception. Continuous reception cannot always be guaranteed, and there may be temporary interruptions in network coverage on some sections. We ask for your understanding that reimbursement of costs is not possible due to interruptions. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the hotel management at the reception.
