The gateway to the world – the Hanseatic city of Hamburg – once again lives up to its name: it opens the way for us to experience the world with all our senses. We are treated to a whole spectrum of impressions, from samba and fireworks in Rio to the endless white of Antarctica. In between: the Falkland Islands, Chilean fjords, and four unforgettable days of Hawaiian island life. While the Panama Canal combines the longing for departure with the joy of arrival, cities such as Buenos Aires, Valparaíso, and Acapulco allow us to feel the diversity of the world. The result is a journey that is greater than the sum of its destinations. For 147 days, we fill our hearts with memories of glittering beaches, cheerful rhythms, sparkling stars, and bright skies. We will not only cross the South Seas and 12 of its dreamlike islands, such as Bora Bora, but also cross the international date line. MS Hamburg wines on board: red wine and white wine from exclusive bottling from the Weingut gorgo

"The wine press is managed by the owner himself, who has been advised by an oenologist he trusts for almost thirty years now.

The cultivation process at the winery is closely linked to local traditions. Only organic fertilizers are used and the soil is kept clean by milling, especially in the young vine plantations. The harvest is practically carried out by hand and therefore usually lasts 30-45 days, so that in some special locations the grapes have the opportunity to fully ripen until the grapes from which Moscato Rosé is made are "overripe".

For many years, the best guarantor of first-class service and catering has been our partner, the Ligabue Group ligabue group

FuelSince 01.01.2020, we have voluntarily renounced the use of heavy fuel oil in all trade areas. Since then, only low-sulphur marine gas oil has been used.
Route and timetablesOur meticulously prepared route and timetables are calculated with an average speed below the maximum possible speed, which allows for an economical driving style, taking into account the prevailing weather conditions in the region. This saves more than 1/3 of fuel.
Exterior painting of the ship's hullIn order to keep fuel consumption as low as possible, it is important to prevent fouling on the hull and not to pollute the environment. This is achieved through the use of a TBT and biocide-free coating of the hull.
Treatment of waste and its preventionIn accordance with international regulations, our waste management plan provides for the conscientious separation of waste that is recycled or, if necessary, disposed of by specialist companies in suitable ports. Packaging material is not used within the framework of hygiene regulations. As far as possible, paper and cardboard-like materials are used, which can be reused after appropriate processing.
Water managementThe Hamburg has an effective osmosis system that can be used to treat salt water for consumption on board. Wastewater is disposed of properly in the port.
Biodegradable productsAll cleaning and care products used on board are biodegradable. Inorganic products have not been used for years due to their harmful effects on health and the environment.

Welcome to the ship to the world! Small and fine. Comfortable and casual. Individual and communicative. International and German-speaking. Cosmopolitan and also private. All this is the Hamburg! With a maximum of 400 guests on board, the Hamburg is small in the right place to be big where it counts: on routes that remain closed to the big ships. Stylish, uncluttered and freshly modernised in early summer 2020, the respective decks, the cabins and all public areas present themselves.
